ZView Video Stage Reading


Setup Image ZView provides comprehensive and advanced non-contact video dimensional measurement, imaging and visual inspection software to customers worldwide. A variety of software versions are available to meet nearly every need from software replicating crosshair generators with simple point-to-point measurement to full motorized X, Y, and Z stage reading and digital edge detection. ZView's video stage reading programs are the AVM100 and AVM1000 series. These softwares can perform on-line or off-line measurement and can stand-alone or be integrated into your applications. All of the AVM software support a variety of encoder interfaces including computer card, RS232 and USB adapters available through ZView.

screenshot The AVM100 programs are designed for manual measuring microscopes and 2D or 3D measurement with video camera systems and are perfect for working with low volume measurements. The AVM1000 programs are designed for motorized measuring microscopes with video camera systems for 2D or 3D measurement. They enable operators to measure parts automatically. AVM1000 products also support laser for high accuracy Z measurement.

ZView's AVM300 2D/3D measurement software for manual measuring microscopes is Capra's most popular version in this product line. The software reads the stage position from encoders and can measure size up to the stage size. The software uses the latest image processing technology to analyze video images for sub-pixel dimensional measurement. It then compares the measurement to nominal values and tolerances to identify conditions of non-conformance. The AVM300 tolerance functions conform to ASME Y14.5M 1994. Create, save and run programs easily then use DDE links to send the results directly to Excel or SPC software programs for reporting. View measurement results, program steps, a CAD-like drawing of the part and customizable tool parameters. Additional functions include best-fit tolerancing, CAD import/export interface, mathematical functions and a built-in interface for many popular third party software.

The simplest version in this line is ZView's AVM100 2D/3D measurement software for manual measuring microscopes. The software uses advanced edge-detection technology and feature tools for sub-pixel accuracy in measurements and calibrations. This version is best if the user needs to perform measurements on a single part. Software reads stage position from encoders and can measure size up to stage size. AVM100 supports a variety of encoder interfaces, including computer card, RS232 and USB adapters. AVM100 offers no tolerancing or program creation. DDE results directly to Excel for reporting. 

screenshot At the high end is ZView's AVM3000 software for motorized systems. The software uses advanced edge-detection technology and feature tools for sub-pixel accuracy in measurements and calibrations. Software supports stage mapping, programmed lighting, zoom and laser sensor. It works with several motion controllers, including motion controls from MEI and Galil.  also uses the latest image processing technology to analyze digital images for dimensional measurement. It then compares the measurement to nominal values and tolerances to identify conditions of non-conformance. The tolerance functions conform to ASME Y14.5M 1994. Create, save and run programs easily. DDE results directly to spreadsheet programs for reporting. View feature list, CAD-like drawing of part and tool parameters.

Pentium or faster processor (the faster the better), 128 MB RAM, 50 MB available hard disk space, 32-bit color monitor, CD-ROM, Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0 w/SP6.
